Turbotax since floppy disk days

Excellent Product with a few minor glitches

It is so great that TurboTax imports tax returns from previous years and prefills certain information and also downloads all your charity information from It's Deductible, saving lots of
time. However, if you answer a question wrong such as what you did with an IRA withdrawal (on Form 1099-R) and then go back to correct it, the original question disappears and you have to delete the form and start a new form. This is the only way to get to the Roth conversion question. It would be a lot simpler to just insert a question asking if you had converted any amount to a Roth. Also, having the question disappear if you hit the "Back" button to correct it is nonsensical. Also, it only brings up one spouse's prefilled 1099-R form for IRA withdrawals and it only asks about QCD on the prefilled form, not the additional one. It took a long time to figure out the only way around this was to bring up the actual form by clicking on forms, finding the QCD line and then filling in the number on the form itself. This can certainly lead to an error if not familiar with it. It should be so simple to have the QCD question automatically asked on each IRA withdrawal form. Otherwise, it's a very easy process easily accomplished in just one day as opposed to wasting many days figuring everything out doing our taxes longhand for over thirty years before starting to use TurboTax about ten years ago. It would be nice if instead of giving you five free Federal Efiles it would give you four federal and one free state Efile.

Turbo Tax is Awsome and Easy to use

I've used Turbo Tax for 20+ years and found it to be excellent and very easy to use every year I use it. I called Customer Support this year for the first time about a stimulus question. They were prompt and had an answer for my situation. Thank you Turbo Tax for a fine product.

So helpful and timesaving

I have been using TurboTax for many years. I find it so helpful and saves so much time since it holds last years info and you don't have to retype. Tax returns are confusing even though the government tried to simplify them a few years back. I wish Turbotax linked directly to the IRS publications/instructions--I thought it did in the past, but didn't see that feature this year. I do think Turbo Tax is rather expensive, especially a state upload for $25!
