Easy and convenient to do for the most part

I have used Turbotax for many years and I like it and continue to do so. W-2 entry for a retired person was a nuisance since I don't have a W-2. The program kept asking for info in error check. The shelf employment portion was not very INTUITive!

Tubo Tax is Great!

I really like the individualized help with each category. The questions they ask make it easy to fill in the information. I also like that the State Tax is completed without much further information needed.

Charges $25 for state E-file

works well but it gripes me to have to pay $25 for state E-file when it is free to do on state of Illinois web site.

Incorrect calculation of state tax

Virginia allows subtractions for federal income, dividends, from US obligations--a percentage of the ordinary dividends. TurboTax used inaccurate percentages and would have cost me additional unjustified amounts if I had not caught their errors.

VA state taxes last software update was 3/10/21

efile for Va state taxes were stopped due to your late software upgrade. Please refund the $20, the second submittal was by paper.
