1. In step-by-step, once an item is checked, the selection should "stick" so that it doesn't have to be checked yet again if that section is edited again, i.e., not go back to default position.
2. If a worksheet has no entries, final review should not keep requiring it to be filled in; there is no instruction to delete the form to stop review from requiring inapplicable data.

Always improving

I think Turbotax is great. However, I think it can still improve, and I think it is improving gradually. This year it seemed like I collected a whole lot of data that later turned out not to be relevant since taking the standard deduction was best for me. I imagine that Turbotax could have provided enough guidance to save me some of that trouble. However, Turbotax's provision of last year's data and guiding this year's filing based on last year's data is a godsend.

I realize tax laws change, but the explainations given are not helpful to the average person. If something needs to be fixed, why can't Turbo Tax just take them to that page?

Still could use improvements

Couldn't anlyze what made up my deductions completely. Assuming the "missing" ones were some of the other taxes paid, I am hoping the deductions are correct.
I was alarmed at how much you would charge to just file our state taxes and pay the $4 amount due to the state....$25 to file and $65 to pay the $4 tax due. Really!?!?!?

needed to file a 1040X. It says you can, but when I go to get the directions they don't align with what is on your website. A total waste of time.

Turbo Tax needs to be updated for the time

Trying to find the Import W2's function is nearly impossible. You have to start by manually entering your W2 and then it decides if it can be import. Bring back the Import W2 button!
Software is slow and clunky. Every time I open the software it has to check for an update. That is irritating. How about the software check IN THE BACKGROUND, while I am working on my taxes to see if there is an update and ask me when I want to apply the update.
Some windows are small and cannot be enlarged. Hello people, this is the year 2021. We have large screen monitors. Some of us are older and our eyesight is no longer the best. Why would you limit the size of a window? I want to resize the window so I can see it easily.
The software needs some serious overhaul to be update to the current century.
