Good But Room To Improve

Easy to use if you don't miss a line or two. On line help was no help--referred to list of questions and responses from other users. When did locate the correct help to remove W-2 form, instructions referred to a trash can which was not there.

A Bit Obuse in Places

Overall an OK experience.
Some of the questions....particularly in the income section just has one guessing at the answer. For example. I have a small brokerage account. AlthoughTT downloads the detailed (many page) info from the brokerage it then proceeds to ask questions about foreign investment re: the account. I really have no idea. There is nothing in the download info that tells me that. Another area that is crazy every year is that it insists on asking RMD questions about a pension account. Pensions, at least some, are NOT IRAs. I have no choice but to receive the money monthly from the pension plan. Upon death the pension ends...it is just an income account like a wage account would be.
Another area: If one knows the Standard Deduction is going to trump any individual deductions they can come up with the App should allow me to go straight to take the standard deduction rather than making me fill in all the niggly info that I know isn't going to add up the allowed standard deduction. For a bunch of us old people we have mortgages, etc. that are paid off or nearly so consequently the mortgage interest is minimal for deduction purposes. If we are retired we aren't going to have business expenses. If we are still in reasonable health there isn't gong to be medical expenses to reach the IRS *astronomical* amounts that one must pay before anything is considered.
Really the only reason I have to use this software at all is I the small brokerage account. And, in spite of the fact that TT downloads the entire transaction file from the online brokerage, TT provides very little assistance in answering the questions it then asks about the details of the account.

Fast and Easy

I have used Turbo Tax for Many years. It is very easy to follow the instructions. I have never been audited or had any problems with my returns. The E-File is a breeze and I get my returns so FAST!!!
