I love this phone

I was a Pixel 1, then 2 user for years. Sadly my Pixel 2 died unexpectedly and the 4 didn't have a fingerprint reader. Unfortunately, I went with a differ phone and learned how important having a good phone really is. It was painful to do anything with it, in fact I found new reasons to dislike the phone every day. Two weeks ago, I decided to be good to myself and get a Pixel 5 and boy am I glad I did. Not only does the phone have incredible technology that makes my connected life much easier to manage and is highly responsive but it's also very light weight, easy to hold and frankly a joy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing "Upgrade"

I switched from a Pixel 3 to the Pixel 5 and was extremely underwhelmed. Benchmark Tests were very similar and overall performance is practically identical.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Google makes a great phone. I upgraded to a Pixel 5 after realizing my Pixel 2 XL truly needed to be let go and had no regrets. This is a speedy phone with a great display.

A phone that takes care of you

Switched back to pixel from note 10 plus samsung just doesn't offer a pure android phone that takes care of you with a built in assistant that is smart enough to actually assist you

Great for Features; Lacking on Customization

This is a great phone (and a major step up from my very old Galaxy S7). There are tons of great features and accessibility options, and really demonstrates how far smartphone technology has come in recent years.That being said, I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of customization options. Yes, you can change the size, font, shape, and basic style of your icons within a limited range of options. But you can't change the color scheme of a lot of apps (beyond light mode vs. dark mode). I miss having custom icons, a changeable system-wide color scheme (not the same Google blue everywhere), and being able to sort my full app list.*Let me change my system-wide color scheme (not just in the notifications drop-down) and make folders for my full list of apps and I'd give this phone a full 5 stars.(*You can create folders on the home screen, but the full app list is perma-locked in alphabetical order.)
