Could have been so much better

The camera lacks wide field of view,the controls are very clunky, lacks a back button in the browser you are to slide Across the screen but on a lot of sites this is not possible, for the cost not worth the money google really dropped the ball with this one, the 4 was one of the best they took and went backwards with this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best phone I've ever had

I have owned iPhones, Samsung's and some other Androids that are no longer in production and the Pixel 5 is the best by far. I owned other Pixels and the were far superior, in my opinion, than any other. I love Google products because they are very reliable. I've never had an issue with anything made or developed by Google. I also like that I get priority on latest software updates.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An excellent side-grade from the Pixel 4XL

I really wasn't intent on upgrading this year. What really drew me to the Pixel 5 was the fingerprint reader coming back, better battery, and the fact that without all of the bezels, I really wasn't giving up anything much in the screen size department from my 4XL.What I wasn't prepared for was the excellent performance, unbelievable battery life, and the material quality/feel-in-hand of this device. In fact, this is the FIRST phone I've ever owned where I prefer it case-free (at least around the house) and I feel secure using it in this way. It has the best material coating of any phone I've used.The performance even for demanding games seems good, app and multitasking is great with 8GB RAM, and with that RAM we've been let into 64-bit browsing in Android 11! Bonus! Even better battery and speed!All in all an upgrade I'd recommend if these experiences matter to you, otherwise, the 4XL is still just as relevant. Any other device will see major upgraded differences!

Good but not great

I loved the Pixel 4XL. Pixel 5 was not worth the change. I can't call it an upgrade other than the 5G capabilities. Al in all the Pixel 5 is a good phone.
