I just recently upgraded from a pixel 2. The 5g is alot faster but still getting used to the new features!

Improvement of the Pixel 3, frustrating UI

Overall getting the Pixel 5 coming from a Pixel 5 has been pretty underwhelming. The UI has been the most frustrating part, it feels extremely clunky and unintuitive.The camera is definitely better but now I'm using up more space in Google Photos which isn't going to be free much longer (thanks Google!)It's not a bad phone but it doesn't feel much of a step up either, doesn't come with any fun extras either (and why not include a black charger with a black phone? And put a longer cable in too!)Overall I'd recommend waiting to see if things change for the better with the 6 (which I saw news of the day I unboxed this). It's not a bad phone, it's just not that great either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Pixel v

Man, this phone is slippery. I bought a heavy-duty case for this one so I wouldn't;t drop it. It's not as intuitive as you might expect a fancy new 5G phone to be and it seems to be missing several of my apps that for some reason didn't make the move. I wish that somewhere I had a list of the old apps to compare them. Oops, missing backups on the old phone. That's on me. The phone's too new to really give it a rating right now I'm just glad I haven't dropped it, let alone play with it enough to be an expert.

Apps missing configuration

Overall I'm happy with the phone, but had hoped for an XL model. I was disappointed that following the transition from my Pixel 2 phone the configuration of apps wasn't included. It was painful trying to remember configurations that were set years ago.
I would recommend this to a friend!

From PXL 3XL to PXL 5

I am nearly 100% satisfied with the upgrade. The display is wonderful in comparison to the Pixel 3XL along with the refresh rate, screen size is slightly smaller but makes up for it with the camera hole punch and speakers hidden behind the screen. This gives it more screen to body ratio. Storage wise is the same since I came from a 128GB model and the battery performance is about the same despite the PXL5 having a larger capacity. Still it only barely make it through the day. Love that the PXL5 is water resistant and is equiped with an excellent camera. The only complaint I have is that the audio fluctuates between playing through both speakers and randomly playing through one (bottom). The volume is inconsistent and the fact that it has a feature for adaptive sound makes no difference. This is still worth the upgrade from A PXL 3XL to a PXL 5.
