The day I got the phone which supposedly is a brand new one it was already overheating in my hand as I went through the initial startup. Gets too hot to touch anytime I'm browsing on the internet. Cannot use it while it is charging because of the heat. And frequently it stalls out on normal apps and has to be restarted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid upgrade

We upgraded to these Pixel 5s, four phones for our family, from Pixel 2s, and the additional RAM, storage, longer battery life, and slight bump up in screen size are all worthwhile without being super pricey and bloated software extras that come on some other phones.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the Pixel

I upgraded to the 5 from my 2XL. I loved the 2 but when it decided to die I went with the 5. The weather proof phone is important to me as I spend a lot of time riding horses, camping and fishing. I liked the larger size of my old phone but this one fits much better in small places and the screen is still easy to see. I love it that they kept my favorite camera features. My only issue is that the screen is fairly sensitive on the sides but I can live with that.

First time upgrading to a smaller phone and I absolutely love the size. The last phone I had was a Note10 which I disliked!Fingerprint scanner works crazy good IMO

My second Pixel, and I am not a technical person. So easy to navigate and so much more to learn to really use all of its features. Best part for me was transferring my old phone over. Scared before I started. It was a cinch for a 70 year old who doesn't "do" technology!

Great Battery Life!

Live the Pixel 5! No bloatware to uninstall! Take note other phone companies, get rid of your bloatware or at least allow us to remove it. My pixel goes days without recharging, it is so fast! Love it!
