Best phone IV ever had and will have!! If u want a good phone and easy to use I would get this one and with web security I'd say the best of it's kind thank for giving me the phone of my dreams

A good, basic phone

I upgraded to the Pixel 5 from the Pixel 3, largely because the camera on my Pixel 3 has stopped working properly. 1. The battery is much better on the 5. MUCH better.2. The hardware is a step down (other than the screen-to-bezel ratio). It feels more cheaply made.3. I hate that the two-button navigation option has been taken away on the 5. I do not understand why. 4. Other than the battery and larger screen, this is not an improvement over the Pixel 3. I would not have bothered to upgrade if not for needing a functioning camera.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty good, I enjoy it

I've been with pixels since they started and not all of them have been great, this one is. I almost switched to iphone after the pixel 4 and reluctantly tried out the pixel 5. I'm glad I did, it just works better, everything is smoother and the battery seems to work better. I'm glad they brought back the finger sensor on the back because it's a game changer and not having it was a bummer with the pixel 4. Overall I'm happy. My biggest complaint is switching over to 5G sometimes loses all data connection and I have to restart my phone. This may not be the phone's fault though, why a unpopulated area that services a city of 50k has 5G is beyond me and restarting is really quick. I'd buy again

Upsetting ...

I purchased a brand new, not refurbished, Pixel 5 and immediately had issues with it - I could not hear any audio in the earpiece in calls (I was able to use earbuds or speakerphone to complete calls but this is not ideal for a phone). A quick Google search of this found that it is an issue may others have had and I attempted all the quick fixes (i.e. turning off blutooth/wifi, resetting network settings, restarting, etc) however none of this worked.I went into the carrier where it was purchased who also agreed that it was a well known issue but they could not assist as the warranty needs to go through Google. I immediately contacted Google who advised I would need to go to one of their servicing centers however the closest center is over an hour away. Now I am stuck without a phone for days because I have to mail my phone back for them to mail me a new one. I am very unhappy with this experience and would not recommend it.

My pixel keeps going black during talk to text. I have already had to replace it once and I only had it for about 5 month. The phone gets very hot frequently. My phone got so hot one day that it went black for 24 hours and then it was replaced by the manufacturer. The best feature on this phone is the camera. Other than that it's an ok phone. Not sure I'll purchase another pixel again.

impressive battery life

I upgraded from a Pixel 3 to this. I regularly ended the day with less than 20% on my Pixel 3. With the Pixel 5 I can only get it to 50% by the end of the day. This gives me peace of mind to not have to worry about battery again. This phone also has a new feature called adaptive charging, which will charges your battery slowly when charging overnight, reaching 100% before your alarm goes off. This is a great idea to reduce the battery degradation over time. You can still use fast charging if you want, but I rarely need that because the battery lasts so long.
