1. Right after inserting the sim card, I noticed that all calls go straight into voice mail. I Googled and found information that disabling Bluetooth can resolve this. But I need the Bluetooth. Later on I found out that after pairing at least one device the problem was gone.2. Although the phone connects to the car's Bluetooth and I can hear and talk, I can't answer or hang up calls using the car's screen or steering wheel. My Pixel 2 does it just fine.3. SMS incoming messages don't vibrate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid Phone, Great Battery Life

Works for everything I need it for which typically includes browsing various apps and feeds. I don't game or anything too difficult, but I do switch from app to app rather quickly and it handles it without issue. I did have some issues with speaker phone and it bugging out on me, currently waiting for it to repeat itself after a factory reset. Its looking good so far, probably app based issues.

Pixel 5: Mostly Good Ideas

Liked:- Camera takes amazing pictures, portraits and panoramas are always keepers on the first try.- Pixel Tips were cool and I learned things I didn't know the phone could do.- Interface is snappy (should be with the hardware)- Google Assistant has great voice recognition and consistently does what I want.Dislike:- "Swipe from side" gestures do not play well with using a case. They also aren't discoverable and too easy to accidentally activate. My parents are able to understand home and back buttons easily, but they would hate this. At least you can change this in settings for now.

I had the Pixel 2 and loved it, one of the best phones ever. The 5 seems to be pretty decent, but the apps on it are a tad different than on other smart phones. For instance, the messenger app through Facebook is absolutely atrocious on my Pixel 5 compared to my g7 thinQ. I know that's some of messengers fault, but for some reason every other phone is different from the Pixel 5. The keyboard will randomly minimize while typing and other issues. I hope that they are fixed soon enough. Overall a decent phone. Just has some quirks.

Good, but could be better

It's a very good phone, but it doesn't so anything that the Pixel 2 didn't besides 5G. I miss the front facing speakers from the Pixel 2. It's good as in it's a good attempt at replicating the Pixel 2, which was the perfect phone, form factor wise.
I would recommend this to a friend!
