Great phone

Definitely not a Pixel 4xl

Seems to be a good phone, but definitely not the phone my pixel 4xl was. Google gave me the pixel 5 5g to replace my 4xl which had to be sent back to have the battery replaced every time an update came through. I can definitely tell the 5 has a slower chip set and the absence of face id is a big letdown, I never thought I would appreciate that feature as much as I did, but it really came in handy while working. The build quality on the 5 also seems to be a big step backwards, as the 4xl felt like a flagship device in hand, while the 5 5g feels like a budget/knockoff device. I really feel kinda cheated, as I paid for a flagship device and have ended up with an in- between filler product. The 5 5g is supposed to not have the bugs that seem to plague the 4xl, so that's a win, I guess?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plastic, Screen not as Impressive

I decided not to keep this phone after seeing it side-by-side with a competitor's phone. The screen wasn't as sharp and it seemed like it wouldn't last long, all plastic. Also, it made me nervous that it's already gone out of production. I really wish it hadn't been like that, because I use all Google software, so having a Google Pixel is my most effective and efficient option. I was really disappointed. It was difficult to switch to a different brand after having used a Pixel 1 and then a Pixel 2 for years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Uprade from Pixel 3

I have a tween who was in need of a phone. I was very happy with my Pixel 3. I decided that I would upgrade to the pixel 5 and give my son the 3. In hindsight I feel he got the better phone. The sound is much better on the 3,but I knew that going in due to the location of the speakers. What I was surprise about was the screen. It's suppose to have a faster refresh and be improved over the 3, but I've noticed some glitchiness when scrolling that I didn't have before. The sensitivity doesn't seem the same sometimes either. Overall it's not a bad phone, but for the money, it just doesn't seem like an upgrade. In hindsight, i should have just bought my son a pixel 3 and we would both feel satisfied.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My carrier forced me to upgrade my first generation Pixel. Since waiting for the Pixel 6 wasn't an option, I went ahead and bought this... And I've been very impressed! You can't go wrong with an unlocked Pixel.
I would recommend this to a friend!
