Great NVR and Cameras - bad instruct/procedures

I bought an 8-channel NVR / 4-camera package (wired power, wifi image streaming) for my parents in 2017. They have worked flawlessly for 5 years now though I recall the setup was frustrating. I bought the same package (but 2022 version) recently - having same experience. But when setup I'm confident they will work reliably and as good as the system I had purchased for my parents 5 years ago.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent operation in setup and viewing. One thing, the firmware needs to be updated on the MCU to have more selections of viewing IE: Picture views of 1-8 of the hardwired cameras and 4 wireless. A diagram of 1-12 and option of rolling selections of what user chooses. With current firmware wireless pix cannot be manipulated. IE move to a new position. But besides that great equipment, I have been using Night Owl since early 2000’s

Great Device, terrible service

I’ve had the WNIP2 system for a few years now without many issues beyond the excess notifications thinking faces or humans are present. Recently had connectivity problems and tried reaching out to support, the 3rd support person basically told me it’s an ISP connection issue. I currently have a higher download and upload speed than ever before and that’s causing several days of problems connecting to the device via the app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
