Attractive machine but taste of coffee was horrible. This was a gift to my son. For the money spent on a grinder and kettle, it was a great disappointment. In all fairness, perhaps he has to play with the amount of coffee to make a better cup

Filters are the only problem

Everything about this is perfect! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the filter situation. I would love to be able to purchase them without shipping cost. I should have thought about that before I bought it because I may have made a different choice. But overall it makes great coffee and stores nicely. I am just dreading running out of the filters.

I like the flat bottom on the dripper. It is a tall, narrow shaped dripper. Very different from a chemex or a kolita wave or something of that nature. But this has such a tactile and premium feel to it. The double walled glass carafe is lovely. It can be a little difficult to pour from and not spill, but this kit overall is really top notch. Very premium and worth the cost.
