I was a die hard daily Chemex user. While I still love the crisp, bright flavors that Chemex brings out of my coffee, the Stagg XF is far more consistent and easier to use. It produces a nice, rich, consistent cup every time, and still allows some of the subtle flavors of a good roast to come through.

I bought this set to get two cups in the morning and it is such a smooth cup of coffee. The filters are plenty initially the dots are extremely convenient for quick measuring.

This Stagg Pour-Over with the Fellow kettle serves up the most robust at home coffee. I'm in love. It's easy to use & clean, great looking and so flavorful. My husband and I are glad we ditched our coffee maker. If you are considering I would highly recommend you do it!

The Stagg XF becomes my favorite brewing method for large estractions, 500 to 600ml brews results on well balanced ones.

Much to like about the Stagg XF

I purchased the XF for the extra capacity and insulated carafe. On those points it delivers exactly what I hoped. The brewing system with tall nearly corrugated filters makes consistently excellent coffee that is capable of revealing differences in pour through timing, grind and coffee bean used. The quality of construction is consistent with the price; high. At least you get what you pay for.
One suggestion I would make is to add a grip (not a handle) of some sort on the carafe. When I handle the carafe particularly when it’s full it is slippery enough to make it a two handed job. Considering how long it took to get my XF l’d hate to break it and have to wait forever for its replacement.

Superb container, pour over not so good

The container is amazing, glass quality and functionality is awesome, unfortunately can not say the same about the pour-over set, the paper form and pour over space does not allow to make a flat filtered since sometimes coffee gets stucked in the walls of the paper, letting some coffee not extracted
