One major flaw

This pour over set is well designed and well made, except for the silicone lid. Actually keeping the lid on (even in the pouring position) makes your coffee go all over the place, dribbling down the front of the carafe. Aside from that, this is a pretty great thing: the carafe keeps coffee warm, and the build quality on the dripper is fantastic. I wish it was a little smaller in diameter, so it fit better on my Acacia Lunar scale.

Love my new Pour-Over Set

Before this I had a simple set up of a mesh filter in a ceramic pour over that sits on the top of your cup (maybe,..if you have the right mug). I upgraded to the Stagg and while I was hesitant of the cost, I love the simplicity/ritual of making coffee with it. The coffee tastes amazing, like a pour-over you would get at a top notch cafe, and the clean up is very easy. My only complaints are that the silicone lid it comes with to keep the coffee hot in the carafe causes it to dribble all over the counter, so I take it off before pouring the next cup. The other is that even though the carafe is double walled, it still gets very hot to the touch and I have to use an oven mitt to pour. Other than that, this is an incredible set to add to your coffee making arsenal.

Simple, Beautiful, Proficient

You'll love to look at it as much as you love the coffee it delivers. The vertical orientation of the brewer really helps deliver a more concentrated and beautiful pour-over than some devices which are horizontally wider. The double insulation of the carafe will keep your coffee temperature for as long as you like it with a lid to keep it all tidy and free of anything but coffee. The brewer is especially easy to use with the ratio aide as a guide. Essential gear for a few guests, a long day of desk work, or relaxing in the sun.

STAGG POUR-OVER SET

Sooo Perfect!!! A special tool is hidden in the bottom of the filter cup that guides the putting of your ground coffee into the pour over cup and is necessary for pour over cup to be used as a cup to go... Ingenious!! No sparingly-ness here!!!

There's a bit more pieces

There's a bit more pieces to it than say your Chemex, but each piece has a purpose and it's thoughtfully executed. My favorite piece is the really short funnel that ensures all of the grounds make it to the filter. The first time I brewed I didn't use it because I didn't know what it was for, but it was clear what its purpose was once I used it. It's a big more of a hassle to clean with the extra parts, but the aesthetic of the set makes all of the drawbacks worth while.

Great Product, Minor Nuisance

Absolutely love this dripper set. It makes a really nice addition to my home setup both functionally and aesthetically. The only complaint I have is that there is usually a drop of coffee after each pour that leaves the lip of the spout and goes down the side of the carafe and typically makes its way onto the surface it's sitting on. It's not really a big deal, but more of a minor nuisance. I think it could have been resolved if the spout was just a bit sharper? Overall, a wonderful product and would wholly recommend.
