Great laptop with great features, not to mention the amazing customer service. My only gripe is that sometimes I'll need to wait a second after not using it for the mouse/touchpad to start registering it again and other minor inconveniences like that... but I dont regret my purchase at all.

I have been using Lenovo for almost 6 years now. And I have never been disappointed.
I am using the T480 at work, and I bought this T490 in order to replace my old W540 workstation, for my personal needs.
Excellent choice.
My W540 is still working though (after I opened it, and used Artic thermal - the heat went down drastically, and my W540 is performing as new)

I purchased my T490 (512ssd, 16gb, i5) for all-purpose use in grad school to replace an old, bulky, beat up HP Envy. I chose it over a thinkBOOK for the thinkPADs' reputation for their durability and light weight, since I bring my computer to the field often. I've had it for 2 months and after an accidental 6ft fall to grass she has held up perfect. Runs really fast, amazing battery life, amazing keyboard, amazing track pad, good speakers, good webcam, and good connectivity (except for the microSD slot, which is a bit difficult to pop a card in and out of). Overall 5/5 computer laptop, highly recommended to anyone who can afford it, the durability alone is worth the high price tag.

The only negative with the transaction, was the relatively long delivery time. I realise it is a customised or made to order unit, but delivery felt like a long time, when you are waiting for it to arrive. That is the only reason for not giving 5 stars.
