Easy and fun to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this product and I absolutely love it. The echo is so easy to set up and use. The app you have to download to use it is easy to use.i love that in the app you can use it while your not around the echo. I love how you can make list and set reminders for yourself. I also love all the little games you can play with Alexa too. I like telling it to wake me up, and when I get up I can ask about the weather. The Alexa has so many functions. I also love the design of the echo. I absolutely love this product and recommend anyone looking for something like this to get the echo. You cannot go wrong with getting it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Amazon Echo Dot 4th Gen, is honestly such a great product. It’s easy to setup. Has such a clear voice. It understands what you ask very well. I love that you can connect it different music streams. It has a kid feature just for kids which is a bonus. My kids love asking her to fart. Overall it’s a great speaker. Another thing I enjoy is that i can set an alarm or a timer right from the speaker. It’s not big or bulky, it’s a nice size. I highly recommend it!

Impressed - More than a shopping assistant

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been on edge about the Amazon Echo products, but my dad wanted one, so I got one to try it for him. I do like that you can turn off the microphone a lot, it makes me feel a little more easy about everything.
I find it strange that there are two plugs in the back but they're not labeled so you don't know which to plug in. It's not a big deal, just odd. It says what is what in the information booklet, but I won't remember to look in there the next time.
To use it you have to set up an app. Setup is easy, but the app and the actual echo were going at two different speeds, so the app kept asking me to do things and then immediately jumping to the next step before I could do it. It also grabbed Alexa's voice when it tried to get me to talk to the phone so it could learn my voice instead.
I enjoy the different skills & games that comes with it. There are a lot that really tailor towards specific people. I personally loved that there's a moon phase app & the Akinator game.
It comes with a smart plug which is nice and different, I don't know if I necessarily would get much use out of it because most of the things I have to plug in don't have a need for turning on or off, but it could be useful for a lamp.
Overall, I'm more impressed than I expected to be. I only ever knew Alexa as a music-player and shopping assistant. It's cool to see the different things it can do as well.

So far, so good little spy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been leary and paranoid of devices that are listening to you. However, I decided to give the Echo Dot a chance to see how helpful it could be. Setup was relatively simple. Once you download the Alexa app, it walks you through the setup. I have only tried asking Alexa random questions and making her turn off and on. They worked flawlessly. I paired her with the Amazon smart plug so that I could turn both on and off at the same time. I was able to go the settings and tell the program to not keep a record or to delete after a certain amount of time. So far, so good.

Great privacy updates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the wide variety of upgrades to the privacy settings that has been made to the 4th generation echo dot. They have made it where I can see what all voice recordings have been made and I can delete at any time and also have a kid friendly setting to name just a few. Highly recommend

The sound quality is amazing even at full volume! Perfect for our family dance parties! I am so glad I got ahold of this product. We now have an amazon echo in every room! It’s a family smart home essential!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG I love this Amazon Echo Dot I always wanted one but thought it was too technical but it is easy to connect and I'm not that tech savvy it does so many things it plays my favorite music it tells me what the weather is for the day it even tells jokes and it has replaced my alarm clock now I wake up to music I am in love with this Dot I can't see going back to my life without it please try it and you will be amazed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my echo dot. It was simple to set up through the app. I am able to turn my light on with the smart plug if I don’t make it home before dark. Who wants to walk into a dark house. It’s compact and looks very modern. I use it to play music while cleaning. Sound quality is very good. Thinking about purchasing another one for upstairs.
