child proof package

This is 2nd pack of batteries I have bought . No problem with the batteries, but the packaging is terrible . This child proof is also senior proof !! I am not weak in the hands and cannot get the battery out even with scissors without a major operation . I think of the elderly, living alone who have no assistance . Suggest a little less of child proof and more senior friendly .

Thank you for submitting your review, Leila. Many thanks for you feedback on the new child-resistant packaging. We have changed the packaging format to be in compliance with Reese’s Law, which states that all button, coin and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – must be contained in child-resistant packaging that features specific warning copy.
The products have been subject to rigorous independent tests, confirming that the new packaging is 100% child resistant*, and zero batteries were accessed by children during CRP testing.* The new plastic dial includes additional staking points for extra security. By that nature it does mean that there will be a difference for users in how to access batteries in the pack, compared to previous packaging. The independent testing also showed that 99% of seniors were able to open the pack for the first time in under one minute*. On the second attempt, this time halved* so we found that consumers become faster with more familiarity and with instruction. We want to support everyone through the transition to child-resistant packaging and have prepared the following video that shows you how to open the pack.

My first time using Rayovac.
I just purchased a package of 16, Use by date Oct 2016 Control # HFAPA 2136.
I installed in both aids, one aid did not come on, the other beeped the low battery warning about 30 seconds later. I installed another battery in each aid, and neither one came on. I installed a third battery in each aid and the aids came on. It has only been an hour, so I don't know how long they will last; I will report back.
Statistically speaking, this is not very good.

many of the batteries didn't work at all

The 24 pack consists of 3 packages of 8 batteries each. Of my last eight, four didn't work at all; they were dead: less than 0.3 V when measured with a high impedance voltmeter. Some of the batteries from the other eight-packs also were dead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New style not so great

I have used Rayovac size 13 batteries for the past 5 years in my hearing aids and have been quite satisfied with the performance and longevity. The "new" batteries however, are not so great. The old batteries lasted 18% longer in similar temperature and environmental conditions. I will try another package hoping this fist package was a fluke, otherwise I will switch to another brand and try Rayovac again at a later date. Very disappointed.

Improved battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have tried Rayovac hearing aid batteries in the past. Our past experience has been that the batteries had very poor battery life; sometimes less than a day! The long lasting batteries we have just tried are much improved in the area of battery life. They have been lasting approximately 1 week. This is similar to other brands we have used.
I would recommend this to a friend!
