Well built, cavernous and quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was time to replace the 15 year old microwave. The tech has come a long way in terms of filtering and noise. For some reason this model doesn't have backlit buttons which is a wonder on a premium model - many other reviewers have commented, but no changes have been made.
The extraction fan is loud but powerful and has 6 levels. My unit arrived with a fault where it just makes a louder noise on levels 1-5. A repair tech is scheduled. It would have been a nice idea to be able to hold the fan button down for a period to turn it off rather than pressing it 5 more times to switch it off.
Again - the unit is well built and the stainless steel interior and handle will certainly last. I just think there are some shortcomings in the usability.
