I was on the hunt to find a car seat to fit in my husband's Ram 1500 Quad Cab rear facing. Thank goodness for the Extend2Fit. It fits perfectly in the back seat. My only complaint with this seat is that it was difficult for me to remove the cushion to access the belt path for installation. Other than that, my child loves this seat.

great long lasting and multipurpose seat

I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Its a great seat that fits our needs. We found the install to be pretty straight forward but much preferred the latch install as the seat belt install doesn't have a lock off option which would make it easier to use. If the seat doesn't need to move between cars, the seat belt option is fine, just a bit harder to install. With the install, the instructions are in english on one side and Spanish on the other. I love that this makes it easy for so many people, but where we wanted to install the seat made it a bit difficult as the instructions we needed were on the other side. The level indicator was also on the opposite side, so we had to go back and forth to check that.
We love the extra long rear facing limits. All three of our kids ages 6, 2, and 2 months, could all fit within the limits of this seat, which make it a great option for our second car as we can just adjust the recline and use the no-rethread harness to fit them. All talking kiddos let us know that they thought the seat was comfortable and my oldest loved the extra legroom. In our F-150 this seat fit in nicely with two other carseats across the back seat and we still had plenty of room for the driver, even with the driver seat pushed back a good bit.
I do wish there was an option for a fabric that either had no flame retardant chemicals and/or more natural fabrics. The fabric on this seat is very soft and comfortable though.
Overall, this is a great option for a long lasting, multi-purpose seat!

Secure and Customizable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I recommend this seat for the extended rear facing and ease of being able to customize it for a secure fit.
My 2 year old and I have to commute a minimum of an hour total most days to daycare and she fits very secure and comfortable in it.
I’ve done a lot of research on car seats and each time Graco ends up being the winner for me. I have also used several different models of Graco seats, now including this one. Thank you Stellar Panel for providing me with this car seat.
Pros:
-Rear facing through 50 lbs!! This was a must and surprisingly, a lot of other convertible seats only RF through 40 lbs.
-Quick and easy to customize. It fits great in my Toyota 4Runner, even with the leg rest out. I was able to get a very secure fit for my average size 2 year old. The straps were easy to tighten and it took only a second to adjust the harness straps with the headrest handle.
-Install and getting a secure fit was a breeze - I had it double checked by a CPST who confirmed everything looked secure and safe.
Cons:
-Release lever to loosen harness is tucked up farther in comparison to other Graco models - not ideal, but not a deal breaker.
-Material and buckle feels a little “cheaper” than other my other Graco seats, but overall still feels sturdy and safe and I feel like it will last many years.
Overall, this convertible seat is great for its extra safety (rear facing through 50 lbs) and customizability.

A Dependable Sest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned many Graco products in my 14 years of motherhood, and I have always been impressed with the quality and price point that they provide their products at. I have been using the Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat for the past few weeks now, and these are my thoughts.
1. The design of the seat is very modern and spacious. The sides are lower and don’t make my child look or feel so closed into it. The fabric was not as soft as others I’ve tried in the past, but it was plenty comfortable and easy to spot clean.
2. The roomy seat, extension panel, and extended rear facing up to 50lbs will always be a huge selling point to me. I feel it’s so important to the cause of keeping children as safe as possible in cars.
3. Installation was actually quite easy. The seat isn’t too heavy either so it made the process even easier. We used the LATCH method for installation and getting a tight fit only took me a few minutes. I think if using the seatbelt for rear-facing installation, it may take some finagling.
Overall, I’m very pleased by this seat. It will be staying in our main vehicle for the foreseeable future. As always, thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat.

A safe comfy ride that will grow with our child

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat has become our main car seat for everyday use, and overall, it’s been a great fit for our family. One of the main reasons we love this seat is its ability to support rear-facing up to 50 lbs. Our 2.5-year-old son is 31 lbs, and there’s still plenty of room for him to grow in the rear-facing position. The 4-position extension panel adds extra legroom and our son seems comfortable in the 2nd position right now. Installation was also a breeze and once in place, adjusting the headrest, recline, and foot extension were simple. Lastly, I really like that the no-rethread harness made it super easy to adjust the fit without having to take the seat apart. Our son also seems to like this seat and now always asks to ride in it instead of his other car seat. One minor drawback is that the button to loosen the straps is a bit hidden. It took some getting used to, but now that we have, it’s manageable and the cover over it does help keep crumbs and dirt out.
Overall, I think the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 is a practical option for families looking to keep their child rear-facing longer, with user-friendly adjustments and a few thoughtful design choices. It’s not perfect, but it does its job well and is a great value for the safety and features it offers. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat.

Comfortable and sleek while rear facing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to test the redesigned Graco Extend2fit 3-in-1 car seat! Our tall 2-year-old is incredibly comfortable, often referring to his new car seat as a “cozy chair.” I appreciate the panel to extend the time our son will spend rear facing in the car, although our car doesn’t allow for much space between his seat and the driver seat with the panel fully extended (we drive a small 5-seat SUV). My favorite non-safety feature has to be the ease of reclining the seat and adjusting the headrest/no-rethread harness, and the satisfaction of the “click” sound while adjusting into place! My only wish would be for this seat to rotate to ease entry/exit into the seat, otherwise it is perfect for our needs and our son loves it.
