We bought two of these car seats and our daughter fits very nicely in them! It’s easy to use and I do love be fact that the extend to fit has been around for years. We decided on the 3-in-1 simply because of the 50lb weight limit. Also, the Safe in the Seat lady somewhere describes that there is something about the 3-in-1 that fits a petite kiddo better than the 2-in-1, another reason why we choose the 3in1. I apologize that I can’t remember what that is. I suggest going to her website or find a video that explains why.
