Great car seat, easy to use. The strap to tighten and loosen harness straps is convenient and does NOT interfere when rear facing. We had another seat that we ended up returning because of that problem. Seems comfy and sturdy.

This car seat is so great, I purchased a second one for our second vehicle. I think a lot of the complaints about this seat actually stem from user error, because when it is set up properly, it’s a breeze to use. It fits well in every car I have installed it in (from a Subaru Outback to a Ram 2500) and is easy to latch in and adjust. Getting my toddler in and out is a fairly painless endeavor, and the strap adjustments are quick and easy. All of the seat adjustments (recline, headrest, non-rethreading harness, and extending foot panel) allow you to create a custom fit for your child and vehicle. The seat is sturdy and solid while being well padded and comfortable. The entire cover is removable and machine washable, so it is easy to keep the seat clean. It’s pretty simple to get all the soft materials back on the seat (I’ve had others that required a degree in engineering to reassemble!) so it’s not a terrible chore to put it all back together. I do recommend taking care with the hook and eye closures, as they are a little bit delicate. So far I have had no issues washing the cover in the machine on the delicate cycle, and it dries pretty quickly even though it has to be line dried. I’ve also seen some complaints about the square cupholders, but I assure you that plenty of cups and bottles fit in them, and they are actually more secure and less likely to become projectile hazards while driving because of the shape. Changing from rear facing to forward facing was much easier than I thought it would be, and it’s also easy to go back to rear facing if you need to. I believe the car seat is very well made, and will last for as many years as my child will need to use it.

I bought this for a few reasons - #1 being that independent crash testing rated it highly for impact protection. My other reasons were that it's pretty upright which is nice in my Prius - We had to jack the front passenger seat way forward with my baby's infant seat. One downside to this is that when he falls asleep, he slumps forward, so I might be setting it to recline for awhile anyway because that's not a safe sleeping position. I think partially it's because the head cushion positions his head a little more forward than you'd think is necessary. All-in-all a good purchase.
