I wish I had thoroughly researched and understood what type of car seat installation technology was available today. If you drive a vehicle not equipped with a latch system do not buy this car seat. I have learned that if you are installing a car seat rear facing using the seat belt path you need seat belt lock offs built into your car seat in order to make it manageable to install and feel safe about to see your child is riding in. Every time I have to uninstall and reinstall this car seat I cuss it and hate it a little more
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it, but latch straps are difficult to tighten

Love it! So easy to use, and a great upgrade from our infant carrier. The only thing I would change is that it was difficult to get the latch straps tight enough that I felt comfortable using it.

I bought this seat for the first time a year and a half ago because I loved that you could rear face up to 50 lbs. I fell in love with how easy it is for me and comfortable it is for my son. I just bought another one for my new baby. I'll never buy another seat, and we are Graco for life!
