I am very happy with my laptop however I see some Thunderbolt issue and sometimes it goes dead and after a long shutdown it comes back alive. That' weird.
pros: i7-10810u good cpu, long battery life, good computing power, especially for multitasking, fast, very light, good design; cons: poor gpu (why not iris pro><), a little bit expensive, difficult to upgrade the SSD and RAM by myself, lack some important connection ports such as hdmi, USB 3.0 Type A.
Latest configuration available in India at nearly the same time as in US. Superb performance and premium build. Taking out a star, as the shipped device had a faulty heat sink, which caused the fan to turn on frequently making it noisy. Replaced it by raising service request. Am keeping in observation in case something goes wrong again.
Received the laptop weeks ago, and although it has not been a month , it has so far performed well. Looking forward to using it like I envisioned it would.
I've only had my computer for a few days so far but I am loving it. I previously had a 15" 2013 MacBook pro and I've found this 13" XPS laptop to be a lot faster with a much better battery life. I also really enjoy it's portability! Flying through airports is much easier now and my carryon isn't nearly as heavy. I was nervous to switch from mac to windows but I've found this switch to be surprisingly easy! I would definitely recommend this laptop to other PhD students
