Performance issues

I purchased DELL XPS 13 7390 on the Nov 15th, 2019. Since then I am facing issues related to machine slowing down suddenly (just while using Microsoft office or Edge), then the fan starts and it just does not stop till machine is shut down. Also I get funny lines, and blanc patches on the screen while booting. Did not expect this on a new XPS13! Dreading to do all the follow up on service or return. What waste of time when I should be working with my new XPS13!

Quicker shipment than originally promised; excellent design, fast startup, all-day battery life at work (9 hours ), good keyboard tactile feedback, quiet running, light compared to the boat anchor XPS 15 it replaced, tiny, light charger and cord, finger-print recognition at start up without fail. No buyers remorse (after a week of use). Highly recommended.

Nice Computer With a Few Minor Issues

After using this computer for a week, I can say that it seems quite fast, powerful, and adequate for my personal computing needs. I mainly use it for browsing the web, playing music, watching videos, and writing emails. No complaints on those fronts. I will say, coming from a 2018 MacBook Pro, the track pad is slightly small and keeps jumping around, but that's more of just me getting used to the new hardware. I also had trouble connecting a brand new Logitech Bluetooth mouse, but was able to fix this by reinstalling Windows. Besides these two gripes, I enjoy using this computer.

This is the best laptop I have ever owned. It has enough weight to it to feel substantial and well made, but light enough to be extremely portable. The keyboard is like butter, smooth key strikes and the wrist rest is comfortable. I love the added feature of the finger print scanner. The specs I chose provide a fast, seamless school day for me, and I feel like this laptop will actually last through my graduate school years.

This laptop is SO GOOD I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF A TITLE. This is my first new laptop since 2013. I had a Mac Book Pro before and I was thinking of buying the newer model but seeing many reviews on the XPS being the "Best Ultrabook" or "highest rated for 2020" made me turn to this. The delivery time is a bit long but that is cause they make the laptop just for YOU! I recommend buying this laptop!

Problems with Dell Update

Shortly after delivery, laptop prompted me to run Dell Support app. Said I needed to make 3 critical updates, one to the bios. Tried again and again over 4 days and bios update kept failing. Have re-initialized PC without McAffee and Dell Support app installed and machine is very glitchy. Very disappointed with this purchase! NOW this thing won't even let me select Next. Yuck
