Hello Samir,
We recommend running a hard reset then running a diagnostic test. Below I have provided the steps to both.
1. Power off the laptop. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. 2. Disconnect the AC adapter or power cord, and remove the battery. Note: For Dell laptops that have a non-removable battery, see the Dell knowledge base article How to reset Real Time Clock (RTC) to recover your Dell XPS, Dell Latitude, or Dell Precision laptop. Note: For certain Dell Latitude laptops, we recommend you try and recover the laptop using the forced ePSA method. See the Dell knowledge base article How to Use Forced ePSA to Recover from POST or Boot Failure. 3. Disconnect all external devices or peripherals like USB drives, printer cables, and media cards (SD/xD). 4. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual power. 5. Connect the AC adapter or power cord and the battery. 6. Power on the laptop. Full Article: https://dell.to/3iIh4GY Diagnostic Test: https://dell.to/37S183b
The battery life is not as advertised. I struggle to get over 4 to 5 hours of batter time with light use, even in the power saving mode. The laptop runs great otherwise, but the battery life was a massive disappointment.

Hello D,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with the battery. Below I have provided steps that should resolve these issues.
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon. 2. On the options list, click Power Options. 3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You can enable or disable this mode within settings, or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs. a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver. b) If running Cortana, then type Battery Saver into the search box and choose from the results. Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to meet your needs best. c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off. d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links. e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage. f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize additional Battery Saver feature. The laptop is very compact, slim, lightweight, and easy to use. The beginner set up is fast and easy to comprehend. It has fast speed, great graphics, and with headphones sound is at its best capacity. Keyboard is a good size and lights up. Would highly recommend.
We bought two laptops and the microphone doesn't work properly on both of them. It goes in and out.

While the machine is powerful, the "P" in the sticker "XPS" on the back of my DELL (XPS 13 7390) just randomly dislodged on the second day after its arrival. This shows how bad the quality of the adhesive is to tightly hold the sticker "XPS" in place. To justify the high price tag, DELL needs better finishing of its machines. Things like these matter even if they are tangible.

I was not sure about another Dell. My Inspiron 13 7000 had locked up with bit locker and the battery died. It had served me well for three years. Purchasing a new one was not on my Xmas list. I did and like the XPS 13 7390 very much. I also have to say that I had a excellent experience with the service representative !
Microphone issues and USB port broke within a week of getting it.

Not enough to write it off so far, but little problems keep adding up to be really annoying. The microphone wouldn't work while zooming or facetiming, found out it's a common issue and did some research to fix the problem myself. Logging on to a zoom meeting the day after getting the laptop and not being able to use it was extremely frustrating though. Then, a few days later, I went to charge it in the designated charging port and it won't charge. I haven't even taken this laptop out of my room yet. Took an hour and a half of tech support running tests and updates to agree that it was an external problem and now they're sending someone to fix it. Again, not enough to make me ditch the laptop but enough to be frustrated and worried about potential other problems I may have down the road.

It's light-weight, display is real nice. I added a dock which make it convenient and real happy about the three Thunderbolt 3 ports. Only con is that with all Thunderbolt ports, you need to purchase an adapter to use legacy USB memory devices when away from the dock.
