So far, so good. The last time I got a new pc for my home use was in 2013, so I was pleasantly surprised with the speed and simplicity of the setup for the XPS 13. For work, I have a 15" touch screen laptop, but the XPS 13" is fine - and the XPS is really light. I got the 1T SSD, and the Microsoft 365 with 1T cloud storage. I have not encountered any problems so far, but it has only been a week.
Overall, I like the XPS 13, but I am disappointed with the sound quality during Zoom sessions. I have tried everything I can to boost the volume, but cannot find a solution.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not the best quality for the ~$1400 that I paid. I’ve had several issues with mine, and have only owned the machine for 5 months. These issues include: An audio port that emits static (makes my sound design projects a nightmare) The cpu fan makes a loud and annoying buzzing/rattling sound as soon as the fans turn on. I’ve had two occasions where my OS froze. Some days, my first charging/thunderbolt port doesn’t work. Most days, many of my USB devices aren’t being recognized. It takes multiple attempts at connection for recognization. Yes, I do like my XPS. It’s the size I wanted, and it runs way faster than my previous machine. But no, I do not think I got the quality I paid for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fan Noise: Update the BIOS: An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.
