The Audio and the built-in microphone are absolutely piece of garbage. Actually worse than that, you could have garbage recycled. Pro: the build is solid and light. Looks good and very portable. Downside, the entry level has an i5 cpu and 8g of ram,

Hello Anonymous,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the audio & microphone for this PC. Below I have provided steps to perform a hard reset. We also recommend running a hardware diagnostic test. I have provided the link below.
Hard Reset: 1. Power off the laptop. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. 2. Disconnect the AC adapter or power cord, and remove the battery. Note: For Dell laptops that have a non-removable battery, see the Dell knowledge base article How to reset Real Time Clock (RTC) to recover your Dell XPS, Dell Latitude, or Dell Precision laptop. Note: For certain Dell Latitude laptops, we recommend you try and recover the laptop using the forced ePSA method. See the Dell knowledge base article How to Use Forced ePSA to Recover from POST or Boot Failure. 3. Disconnect all external devices or peripherals like USB drives, printer cables, and media cards (SD/xD). 4. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual power. 5. Hello PRabhudev,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with the wifi. Below I have provided steps and a link that should resolve this issue.
Wifi Troubleshooting: 1. Move the computer to within 3-9 feet (1-3 meters) of the router (if possible). Notes: - Moving the computer closer to the router will help eliminate sources of interference which may cause slow and intermittent connections, and make sure the wireless hardware is working correctly. - When your computer only connects correctly to the internet while the computer is close to the router, it means you are probably experiencing interference issues. For more information on what causes interference, refer to the Dell Knowledge Base article How to Identify and Reduce Wireless Signal Interference. 2. Touch or click the network icon, either in the taskbar or in the hidden icons area. Notes: - Both are located in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. - Make sure to unplug any network (Ethernet) cable or undock before performing the steps, otherwise, the wireless icon may not appear correctly. - When you cannot find the wireless icon, reboot the computer. When it still does not show, download, and install the latest drivers. For more information, refer to the How to Download and Install the Latest Dell Wireless Network Adapter Driver section. We recommend running a diagnostic test to resolve the audio and performance issues. Please see the link below. Diagnostic Test: https://dell.to/3123Eje
