This is a great little lap top that is perfect for the constant travel I do for work. Although the battery is certainly stronger than many windows laptops, it does not last as long as advertised. There was also a software issue that affected the microphone that needed fixing right away - not convenient with all the virtual meetings going on these days.
Why is that I cannot use my sound properly. It is difficult to hear people and they cannot hear me at all and when they do it is very faint sound

Hello L,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Below I have provided steps to perform a hard reset if this should happen again. We also recommend running a hardware diagnostic test. I have provided the link below.
1. Power off the laptop. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. 2. Disconnect the AC adapter or power cord, and remove the battery. Note: For Dell laptops that have a non-removable battery, see the Dell knowledge base article How to reset Real Time Clock (RTC) to recover your Dell XPS, Dell Latitude, or Dell Precision laptop. Note: For certain Dell Latitude laptops, we recommend you try and recover the laptop using the forced ePSA method. See the Dell knowledge base article How to Use Forced ePSA to Recover from POST or Boot Failure. 3. Disconnect all external devices or peripherals like USB drives, printer cables, and media cards (SD/xD). 4. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual power. 5. Connect the AC adapter or power cord and the battery. 6. Power on the laptop. Full Article: https://dell.to/3iIh4GY
Day one the camera and mic didn't work in zoom, googe hangouts or webex. My IT guy diagnosed it as a problem with MaxAudioPro software and with some google searching could fix it.

The voice effect of MaxxAudioPro need to be turned off to use with Google Meet, Skype, etc on my Google Chrome. Smaller keyboard than other versions cause wrong click sometime.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small screen, low speaker volume, sound randomly cuts in and out when speaking, not very customizable, battery dies quick. I wish I had bought something else. Not really happy with it and won't buy this product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Dell XPS only has USB-c ports and Dell does not make a wireless keyboard/mouse that uses a USB-c connector. If you want a wireless keyboard/mouse. Do not buy one from Dell.
I would recommend this to a friend!
