Good battery life. Will cut larger limbs than you would think. Easy to take up chain slack. I also discovered how good it is to use for cutting stuff low to the ground like invasive bushes. No more crawling around on the ground.

Too heavy!

I bought this after trying my neighbors gas pole saw. Thinking battery would be better. The gas saw has the engine at the bottom and drives the saw using a drive shaft, making the saw the only thing you have to lift. This saw has electric motor & the saw on the head which makes the head too heavy. Great idea, poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with this unit due to the weight. With the 3.0AH battery installed, this unit weighs 16.6 lbs. in total. As each users’ capabilities differ, the strap helps even out the weight. Hold unit firmly with both hands. Always keep your left hand on the pole shaft and your right hand on the rear handle, so your body is to the left of the chain line. Never use a left-handed (cross-handed) grip, or any stance that places your body or arm across the chain line.

I bought the pole Saul to trim five Mulberry trees that were way too tall I was able to trim them back to a reasonable length without having to get a ladder or stool to stand on the battery lasted the whole time trimming all five trees excellent

Great saw! Cuts very well and fast. Battery lasts longer than me in the sun. Only drawback is the pole is not telescoping like my old Portland. Its an extra piece you have to attach.

This is my first pole saw of any kind. It's extremely easy to get started and use. My primary use is to take down saplings and small trees and it had no problem handling these tasks. The battery outlasted my endurance. The only complaint is that Greenworks advertised "tool-less chain tensioning", which is not true. It requires a screwdriver. I see they have now changed the statement to "easy chain tensioning". Otherwise, it's a great tool.
