[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a couple of months ago to trim smaller limbs at our church. It worked great. Long lasting power and easy to control the cut.

40volt 2 ah battery that lasts about 3 min

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear about this experience a runtime of three-minutes and charge time of four-hours it not average. Please consider giving us a call at 1-888-909-6757 or send an email to info@greenworkstools.com to look into further options for resolution. In the meantime we would like to go the charging procedures you to see if you may find it helpful:
1.To charge the battery align the guide rails on the battery pack with the corresponding slots found on the charger. Slide the battery all the way down into the charger until you hear it click into the charger. If no click is heard, the battery has not been fully secured into the charger.
2. The battery should not be able to slide out of the charger without holding down on the battery latch. If the battery can be easily slid out of the charger, the battery and charger are not fully connected.
When the charger is plugged into the outlet, there should be a power light that appears indicating the charger is receiving power. When the battery is fully inserted into the charger a secondary light will appear indicating the battery is being charged. There are also LED lights located on the battery that indicate the amount of charge the battery has left. To activate this feature, push the button also called the BCI switch on the front of the battery. These LED lights will now illuminate. For example, if all four lights illuminate, this shows the battery is fully charged.

Why did i wait so long to buy a pole saw? Because i couldn't deal with another gas engine powered paper weight! Well this 40 volt baby is awesome! I cut 5 big bushes and a huge fig tree and still had 3/4 battery. Cuts great. I will be getting a second chain because i know it is a must. I have several chain saws. This pole saw keeps me from calling under bushes.

We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the cuts per battery charge. All Greenworks 40V GMAX machines are compatible and interchangeable with all Greenworks 40V GMAX batteries and charger. In regards this lawn mower, or any other 40V product that does explicitly indicate GMAX on our website, they would also be compatible and interchangeable with all Greenworks 40V GMAX products.

This little saw as worked well for my needs. I can put it in the back of my UTV and take it anywhere to trim branches along our trails. Just some bar and chain oil and an extra battery. It cuts well and lasts a lot longer than I initially thought. I spent two hours trimming branches and small trees yesterday without a problem and there was still enough charge in the battery to keep trimming. I particularly enjoy not mixing gas or dragging 100 foot cords around. It is nicely balanced with the battery installed.

The customer service is excellent. I purchased the 40 volt weed eater and the battery was defective. When I called customer service and brought it to their attention they shipped a new one out that day no questions asked. Great Job!
