Received TWO ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 5 and both didn't work. Still waiting for a shipping label after a week so I can return the second one. Unfortunately this is affecting my business as I don't have a working laptop while waiting.

Sleek, portable. Disappointing battery life.

Love the sleek size and 2.9 lb weight - very portable. Quite quick. The two regular USB ports are a help - along with my own wheel - for the four or five peripherals I regularly use as a teacher. Missed an ethernet port when the wi-fi was down this morning. Mild concerns: 1) Will the slick exterior surface make it easier to drop than the T-470p? 2) Lifting the lid is a little awkward due to needing to put a fingernail on the keyboard section to keep it from coming up also. Biggest disappointments: getting only 3.5 hours out of my "up to 18 hour" battery, and needing to pay a tech $200 to figure out how the My Drive tree to work conveniently.

Great overall work laptop (except fingerprint tech

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took a while to receive the laptop during holiday rush, but overall like this laptop (seems like a big improvement in responsiveness over my prior Surface). The only downside that I have noted is the fingerprint tech has not worked well for me. I am disappointed not to really be able to use this since it has worked successfully only about 30% of the time. I find the touchscreen to be very responsive and am happy with the colors and image quality (I chose not to go with the 4k screen because I value battery life). I like the sturdy feel of the keyboard. I also purchased the USB-C Dock Gen2 and am happy that I did since it was easy to connect power, a large external monitor and my printer. Sound quality is good for my purposes without any additional speaker and unlike my prior Surface, this easily works with the speakers on my monitor and with earbuds.
