[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Huge upgrade from the consumer grade yoga series. I own several of the consumer grade Yoga 700-900 series. Those machines are all still in service today, however they spend most of their time in the office or at home. I wanted to get a more durable/mobile alternative since COVID I have been working in the field more (I am a Nurse that manages massive data bases for the CDC). I bought a ThinkPad P1 in 2019 and LOVE this machine, but wanted a more portable and flexible unit (for sharing the screen in display mode). The ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 5 has an incredible display (do the upgrade) is extremely fast and responsive, the keyboard is a dream to type on for hours, and plays well with the Synology NAS in office and remotely. Everything in the ThinkPad X series are solid reliable machines in adverse climate conditions (Working in COVID tents during Michigan winters). I am not a paid reviewer, and my company doesn't buy or reimburse for me. I spend a lot of time using my equipment and appreciate quality and value.
