I bought this primarily for the 4k screen to use remote desktop around the house, connecting to a tower host with a 4K monitor and a couple of Vbox VMs, and not have to keep changing the screen resolution. As it turns out, it's powerful enough to run a VM or two on its own, so it gets used away from home, as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In 2013 I switched from Thinkpad(T61) to Macbook(Pro,Retina), and now back to Thinkpad(X1 Yoga). First impression - it is pleasant to have THE BEST KEYBOARD back (although MBP was pretty good too, plus it's back-lit). Also, it is good to have the shortcuts back.
The retina screen on Mac was indeed an eye candy, but X1 is also not bad - especially accounting for the touchscreen, what a game changer to have a 2-in-1! A very sturdy built too. Also, love the camera shutter as a comforting element to ensure privacy.
From a wish-list of enhancements: The battery charge holds alright, though it would be good to have 12 hours+ for reassurance. The Bluetooth is really good; I didn't have the best luck with WiFi signal strength everywhere yet comparing to my Mac, will look into settings.
I would recommend this to a friend!
