Great oven -- and excellent customer service

I had matured from a cookie sheet to a pizza pan to a stone and then a steel. Improved my pizza with each move. Was eyeballing this since it came out -- finally splurged and glad I did. Fantastic pizza -- truly. I was was cleaning the stone and it broke -- contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement with no questions asked. I will be more careful and tender with the stone in the future as I hated being without the oven for the couple of weeks it took to get the replacement!!

Great pizza...but the round stone wasn't what was shown

Lots to love about this pizza oven...got a perfect pizza crust first time, and plenty of room for toppings. BUT...I thought the oven would have a full rectangular deck as shown in the videos. Instead it has a round stone deck which allows sauce and toppings to get down around the lower heating elements. The pizza has to be placed carefully on the round stone, which isn't quite as easy as it looks. Seems like the rectangular deck shown in the videos (and was expected) would be much easier, so I wonder why the change and why didn't I receive what was shown? The stone can be removed for cleaning, but only (obviously) after completely cooled. So if I'm making multiple pizzas, how to I prevent the debris from falling through the space around the round stone and catching fire?

Oven great. Stone cracked and deep dish pan rusts at seams

Was fabulous but stone cracked after just a few months use and you can't get through to customer service. .Deep dish pan also rusts at seams. I bought a replacement deep dish pan but it also rusted at seams the same way original one did - even with light hand washing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good (actually great)

I've had the oven for a month now and gotten to use it a few times. I could not be happier. I have tried all sorts of ways to make great pizza at home. Don't get me wrong I make very good pizza in my oven on a bake stone but always wanted an over that got the higher deck and dome temperatures required for a Neapolitan pizza. I have looked at some of the outdoor wood fired ovens but they always seemed impractical to me as well as too expensive. Now with the Smart Oven Pizzaiolo I can. So far, the results have been nothing short of amazing. Yes it is expensive but compared to other options the Smart Oven Pizzaiolo is well priced. If you want to make excellent pizza and have the space, I highly recommend the Pizzaiolo. The only thing I would like is the ability to buy a spare bake stone. Reading the reviews, it appears to be a slight concern. I like a spare on hand just in case.

I love the oven, but the stone is clearly not well designed. I think with high temp it expands and cracks, making the oven unreliable. I am already on my second stone and it cracked again. This seems to me a design issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
