Awesome oven / broken pizza stone.

I received this for xmas 2018 right after they were released. So it's got about one year of wear on it. Only used twice a month. Took the pizza peel out to clean it and it cracked right in half. It was completely cool. That shouldn't happen...As a pizza fan, the only thing that could make this oven better is if the peel were steel. Prior to having this oven I would use a Baking Steel and it was great. A baking steel coupled with this oven would be perfect. Not only for the added heat it would bring but it would also eliminate broken pizza stones!
We just got the Pizzaiolo and LOVE it! Its fast so you can make several pizzas in a short amount of time, and thats good when everyone is standing around waiting. We have used it outside as well as inside. The cord is short (safety reasons) so luckily our outdoor deck has electrical outlets close enough to plug it in. The oven doesn't get too hot but does get warm enough that you don't want to put anything on top or close to the sides--needs a few inches clearance on sides. Make sure to let it cool down (there is an internal fan) so after you are done, turn it off but keep it plugged in to automatically cool down (only takes a few minutes). The metal peel needs semolina/flour mix to get it off nicely or it will stick. A wooden peel may work better. All in all we love it, and so do our guests-its fun party and although its a bit $$$ its worth every penny when everyone can make their own pizza and don't forget veggies are great in it also. There is a pizza pan and we have used it for vegetables.
I have had this for over a year now. It is simply amazing. The pizzas that it makes easily compare with those at any wood burning pizza establishment. I love how quickly and easily it heats up and then the deliciousness that slides out only minutes later is perfect. This oven is so worth the price and is exceptionally well made. If you are on the fence, take the plunge. You will not regret it. One note: Be very careful cleaning the pizza stone. It's a little on the fragile side. On another note: Breville customer service is without compare. I own this machine and the Oracle Touch. Breville is now my go to company now and for the future.
I've had the pizzaiolo for a month now and love it! I'm still in the learning phase so I'm trying everything! And lots of variations. Grandkids have suggestions and requests as does my husband. I have not made a bad pizza, even when I forgot (okay twice) to turn the timer on and they got a little more charred than they should. They were still great pizzas!! My only concern is the cleaning. This thing gets very messy looking. So far wiping it down after it cools does work but I'm having trouble figuring out what Breville instructions mean by a 'spray cleaner'. Easy off? I guess I will call soon. It's so worth the cleaning though!
I went to Florence Italy for a Pizza and Gelato cooking class and when I got back to Canada I bought this incredible oven!!! The Pizza taste is awesome!!! Love it!!!
I love love love this , wish I had bought it sooner , I am an hour and 10 min to town and had given up on having pizza until now , I have made 2 so far and they were truly like the real deal , my challenge is getting the right taste to my sauce , it comes with recipe that I haven't tried yet but will , I am so happy with this , yes it is a investment but if you add up wanting pizza at least once a week plus tipping plus I won't drive so far to get a pizza , this is a wonderful appliance for me ,I made a real thin crust and I made a thicker crust , both were excellent
I'm a Neapolitan pizza snob. Gotta be made with Caputo flour, San Marzano tomatoes, buffala mozzarella, sourdough starter, and a wood burning oven. There has to be a puffy cornice and leopard spotting on the crust, and it has to cook in about 90 seconds. That's just how it's done. Well, except for the wood burning part, this thing does it -- and does it perfectly. It's too easy. All those years perfecting my wood burning oven skills, thrown away, because any monkey can get it right with this oven. It's perfect every time.
