This set is truly amazing, if you’re interested in purchasing this set I highly recommend getting the Saturn V ideas set along with it. This lunar lander set is scaled perfectly to the minifigs whilst the Saturn V is scaled perfectly to the microfigs and really give you a sense of how big these spacecrafts really are. Both are beautiful display models and well worth the money

I can't say enough about this set. The attention to details, from the quote on the box, to gold thermal shielding, and the fun facts all throughout the instructions, were absolutely amazing. This will be on permanent display beside the Saturn V rocket. Keep the NASA sets coming.

One of my all time favorite builds

I grew up during the Apollo missions and I've been a big NASA space geek since. This model was an absolute must have for me!
This is a gorgeous model and, considering it is done from stock Lego parts, is fairly accurate. It is very impressive on display. I put mine in an acrylic case meant to display basketballs and it fits nicely. I'm waiting on an aftermarket lighting kit to really round it out as a display piece.
I hope someday someone can design a reasonably accurate lunar rover to go alongside this model. A "Yoda sized" Apollo astronaut's space suit would be high on my wish list too!
This set wasn't particularly hard to build. I tend to do just one part of the build at at time and may stretch it out over several days just to relish in the experience. This model didn't really take too much time to build.
Get this one before its retired. You won't be sorry.
