Amazing Display Model

The lander looks the best it possibly could. The terrain looks really good and holds the lander in position very well. the only things i have to say are the gold foil stickers are a pain to realign without damaging them and giving Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin generic city faces is just a little disappointing. But, the faces aren't seen with the helmets on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An Enjoyable Build

A fun and relaxing build, if you lay out all of the parts for each phase and take your time... even for a 59yr-old County Fair Judge like myself :o) I’m not sure what all the fuss is about the stickers. I took it as part of the building experience. A pair of tweezers and a patient hand... no problem. They’re printed on foil and appear pretty durable. This is more of a show piece than a play piece, and it feels a lot sturdier than some of the other LEGO kits I’ve experienced (especially many of the Star Wars series).

disappointed it had stickers. I think this level of kit should come with printed pieces (like the Saturn V kit had).

Wonderful product Challenging build but very rewarding. Great complimentary kit to the Saturn V rocket. Good to have both side-by-side.

I impulse bought this set and I am not disappointed one bit! The overall set is great! It has some great building techniques and great details. I also love in the instructions how they included information about the actual Lunar Lander! I would recommend this set highly to anyone who has been eyeing it for a while! It is an awesome set. Well done Lego!

...One Giant Leap for Lego-kind

This was my fourth Lego build and my first non Technic build. The build was relatively straight forward. I loved the addition of the gold bricks to represent the protective gold foil around the real lunar lander. The astronauts can be posed in many different places to add a little bit more depth to the model.
The instruction manual was very informative and makes a great addition. I learned something from reading all the additional information the design team provided.
The stickers for this set appear to be of much higher quality; made with metallic paper instead of your everyday sticker.
One of the gold flanges needed for the legs was missing from my set. This was the first time a piece was missing in the four sets I have built thus far (totaling over 8,000 pieces). I tend to build the larger sets, so this accuracy says a lot about Lego's ability to dole out the correct parts needed for each set. Lego quickly sent me a replacement at no cost. Thank you.
I paired the Lunar Lander with its much larger sister rocket. It just made sense to build the two together for display. You cant have one without the other.
