I love this set! It's so accurate, detailed and realistic! I like how they included Armstrong's footprints and the color they used for the golden foil on the exterior. It's also nice how you can separate the different stages of the Eagle. The only things that I wish that they would have made better are making the interior more detailed and making the minifigures' more like the real astronauts. Overall, I really like this set, and will always enjoy having it!

No Brainer

Well, this was a no brainer for a couple of reasons. I built the Saturn V Rocket so, of course, I had to build the Lunar Lander. And, again of course, I had to build the Lander given the 50th (where does time fly -- pun intended) anniversary of the moon landing. This was a neat project. Like all my builds, I tend to savor the experience rather than to see if I can match or beat someone's time. Nice attention to detail and the level of engineering that went into the build was on par (really good) with the Saturn V. And the gold bricks are just cool! Nice job, LEGO!
Moving on to the just-purchased Car Transporter that has nothing at all to do with rockets or Lunar Landers or space. But, I didn't need an excuse other than I knew I had to buy it as soon as I saw it in the flesh. It was, alas, another "no brainer."
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super fun piece of history

It was a blast to put together. The manual had wonderful little factoids throughout describing each part I was working on and the detail is incredible!

This set is awesome.
I teach middle school math and science. The Lunar Lander always makes into at least one science and the math curriculum uses it for a scale model/factor lesson. This will definitely increase the cool factor when presenting scale copies.

Brought back my love of Lego's

Bought this for my husband for Fathers Day. He's a big space fan. We took turns (every other page) building, and had a fantastic time! I love that they put so much thought to the inside of the lander that you don't even see once it's all put together. Brought back my love of legos, and look forward to purchasing the upcoming space lego sets
