I love the modular features and the landscape of the moon. The spacecraft fits where it's supposed to perfectly. Even the minifigs are custom based on the astronauts! The gold reflector stickers are unique and I would use them if I had more. The price is not unexpected for the size and price to piece ratio.

Great Kit- first one I have built. One peeve though- I had to move the blast crater on the base from where the instructions put it to the center, below the engine bell on the lander. Otherwise, had a blast constructing it.
Had to get another kit- the VW microbus (with the light kit). I'm hooked!

BEAUTIFUL, sturdy build. Incredible detail. Excellent display piece. The build itself isn’t overly challenging but uses some clever techniques and piece choices. This matches the Saturn V in cool factor and then some. Critiques - 1 the helmet piece neck down in the front doesn’t look like the NASA suit and covers nice detail on the mini-fig, 2 wish designer could have included some flight deck seating, but obviously limited space. 12 out of 10, would buy again!

OK I see a lot of nitpicking here regarding stickers and oxygen tanks - if you feel this way you are missing the point! I enjoyed it from start to finish mainly due to the "hidden elements" such as the control panels, fuel cells, and other elements that cannot be seen on first glance which are very detailed! - This is much smaller than my usual build (I like the 3000+ sets) and a great break - kind of like the desert before the meal!

A Great First Set

I am freshly new to building Lego sets and Legos in general. Never was really into them as a child either. Recently I have been trying to find a new hobby and saw someone building these giant complex sets on youtube, and thought huh... that looks way more fun than it did when I was a kid. So, I took a dive and went ahead and purchased this historical set.
I can say I was definitely not disappointed! The build is quite intricate and complex. Though, as a first time Lego builder it wasn't particularly challenging. As long as you pay close attention to the detailed instruction booklet you shouldn't have any problems. The two minifigures are quite cool, but would be better if they had the astronauts' names on them and were each distinguishable from the other. The booklet itself has an interesting historical feature at the beginning followed by neat facts as you build.
The ascent module is detachable from the descent module and contains 3 different compartments that can be taken apart. Both minifigures fit nicely inside, though I prefer displaying them outside.
Overall fantastic job by Lego! I think I bought myself into a new hobby :D

Amazing Display

The lander’s feet don’t really stick to the craters that it rests on. If you love space and love to display your Lego, (Which I do) then this is the set for you!
