Amazing design and detail

From age 5-15, I bought all kinds of LEGO sets, and now, at 40, have started appreciating some of the larger, significant sets instead of mixing all the pieces together as toys. This set was extremely impressive in the design of the construction, the thoughtfulness of the detail, fun of building the sections (the base in particular was a great surprise), and the beauty of the finished product. The instruction booklet came with fascinating info, and some parts are even hidden in the final construction. If I had any complaint, it would be the use of stickers instead of printed pieces. The playability is tight, but the colors and display size are captivating.

Perfect Set for Space Fans

NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander is a great companion to the 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V set. I’ve been interested in the Apollo missions since elementary school, so this was a must-buy for me. The detail is amazing and I love the lunar surface display area. The footprints leading up to the flag are an excellent touch!

As always, I enjoyed the build very much.
Decent value for the money.
On the negative side, 4 pieces were missing, it never happened to me before. But I have a lot of spare parts, so I didn't let this annoyance to ruin this build.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some trouble with your LEGO® set. Any chance those pieces might still be caught in the packaging, or maybe hiding somewhere near your building space? If not, don't worry! We have a great replacement parts service that makes getting the piece you need really easy. Just go to LEGO.build/BricksPieces to get started.

Very detailed and educational. Accurate and fun build. It's now displayed with my autographed photo of Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin standing by the flag and a portion of the lander and many footprints. A worthy build.

A nice start to our wall of Lego!

Bought this with my Father, since he is a huge fan of everything space related, and so am I! This brought back the joy and memories of childhood, seeing all the bags full of pieces was surprising at first, but everything is so neatly packed and organized that it is a pleasure to follow the instructions.
The assembly is not difficult at all, just make sure that you follow step by step and pay attention to how many of each thing you are supposed to put together! Stickers may give some people trouble, though.
It looks solid and makes an awesome piece to have exhibited in the living room! I have my doubts if children would be able to play with it, seeing as the landing gear moves a little.
All in all...AMAZING set, has us pumped for the back-ordered Saturn!
