Great Set, Mediocre App

The set itself is absolutely fantastic. This is one of the coolest sets I have ever built, and I love the realistic keys, dampers, and hammers. This set is much larger than I envisioned it to be, and is a lot of fun to build and play with. That being said, I deducted a star because of the app. The sheet music displayed for each song isn't accurate, but the notes are highlighted as the song progresses as if the sheet music were representative of the song being played. This was really disappointing, as my expectation is that the sheet music (in the app) would actually match the song. The printed Lego tile of sheet music that came with the set appears to be accurate, but the app isn't. Lego should have invested a bit more developing the accompanying app, to make this toy more educational/realistic. Otherwise, a great set, and highly recommended.

WOW! Amazing build!

As a professional musician, I was a bit skeptical about this build. I was proven wrong!
It isn't the most complicated set I've built, but it is very satisfying each time a bag is completed.
The power up app could be better, and include more songs, but it isn't a deal breaker for me at all.
High kudos to the person(s) who developed this and got it to market. One thing, might be better to have enough to go around the day it is released. Was a bit disheartening to see it out of stock within minutes of going live.

One of my favorite sets ever!

This set is absolutely amazing. The build had the right amount of technicality and fun. Even the somewhat repetitive sections were a blast to build.
This, combined with the awesome playability once it’s built make this one of the best sets I own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very detailed set, is definitely one of the centerpieces of my collection. The powered-up functions are a good addition, but unfortunately my motor won’t turn keys. But when hooked up to app I can still play by hand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Display piece, not for playing

This is a great looking display piece. It is certainly not for playing as the keys don’t function correctly and the automation is Playing with incorrect keys. The keys do not align properly when plays (including reversed synchronized), the lid does not close completely, and is fragile after a few attempts to close and open. These are some flaws that could be improved but overall the building experience was great and display piece is great looking.

Gave this to my grandson for his 14th birthday. He is a 9th year piano student and this looks just like his piano at home. I figured it would take him at least the week he was with me to build it. Amazingly, he finished in 3 days! He had no problem linking it to his phone. It’s my favorite of all of his Lego sets. It plays beautifully and looks awesome sitting on his piano! We all love it and you guys nailed it!! (My husband and son had thought it was pricey but the final product changed their minds!!)
