Display piece, not for playing

This is a great looking display piece. It is certainly not for playing as the keys don’t function correctly and the automation is Playing with incorrect keys. The keys do not align properly when plays (including reversed synchronized), the lid does not close completely, and is fragile after a few attempts to close and open. These are some flaws that could be improved but overall the building experience was great and display piece is great looking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gave this to my grandson for his 14th birthday. He is a 9th year piano student and this looks just like his piano at home. I figured it would take him at least the week he was with me to build it. Amazingly, he finished in 3 days! He had no problem linking it to his phone. It’s my favorite of all of his Lego sets. It plays beautifully and looks awesome sitting on his piano! We all love it and you guys nailed it!! (My husband and son had thought it was pricey but the final product changed their minds!!)

I was excited to receive this build. I enjoyed this build. I took it extra slow to be everything went right. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Then when done. Downloading the app and playing with it was just the coolest ever!

An excellent build

This model is cleverly designed and an extremely fun build. The full action of the keys is impressive, and the ability to “play” or “listen” to the piano has a magical quality to it. The model also achieves an elegant look that tends to transcend the material itself. Overall, a great build and one that will take a prominent display spot.

Regrets

IMO the pictures are misleading because no matter how hard I try I can't get the keys to all lay flat (and I've built it twice now - what am I doing wrong?!). Also, my motor is constantly sticking and needs fiddling with. When it works - it is lovely! However, I regret the purchase due to how much I have to mess with it to keep it moving. Get idea... I just think it needed a little more work before putting out there for consumers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed

I am an excellent Lego builder with a lot of experience. No matter how many times I tried, like many here, I could not get the keys to align. I also ran into a few other building issues. So I just decided to finish and it will be displayed but that’s it. Was looking forward to be able to play. Very disappointed.
