A Lego-Lover's Must Have

This is by far the best set that I have ever built, it kept me occupied for a long time. It looks great, was so much fun to build, and is a Lego-Lover's must-have set.

Good build to fiddle with

I really liked this build. A ton of pieces to fiddle around with throughout the weeks. Nice size as well. Can’t wait to put lights in the stadium. Wish it came with players to set up but oh well.

Beautiful but dull

First off I bought this because I am a Manchester United fan and a LEGO fan. I had to purchase it but I wasn't sure I wanted to. I ultimately decided that this was the best of both of my favorite hobbies. Now that I have bought and built it I will say my initial reservations about buying were pretty much on target. I love watching Manchester United play and they are amazing to watch. This build is static and has a single play feature in the form of a miniature team bus. There aren't even little soccer players to go on the pitch. Its kinda sad. There isn't even an attempt at a soccer ball? I suppose the designers likely considered it but decided for the museum piece instead. I will continue to love LEGOs and Manchester United but sadly this doesn't inspire me. It shouldn't be in the CREATOR category. It should be in the Architecture category. The stadium is just a building that has no life in it. I built the amazing Hogwarts Castle and it had lots of figures and attempts at play features despite being built for miniature scale. This is just disappointing. The build was more of a chore than anything and the booklet didn't really contain much about the stadium itself. Only a few sentences here and there. I am glad I bought the set with the bonus mini figures (Best, Law and Charlton). They are great and manage to persuade you about the players personalties.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gorgeous Set

As a Manchester United fan, I knew I had to buy this set as soon as I saw it. It was really fun to build and as other reviewers have noted, the attention to detail by Lego is wonderful. I especially love the detail put into the stands and the walls of the stadium. I am still trying to decide where to house this set so everyone in the house can see it and admire it.

Absolutely Amazing!

I had more than 10 creator expert buildings throughout the years and this is my absolutely favorite! The design team must have put lots of efforts to make it as close as to the real stadium and they made it. The size is perfect. I think its going to sell pretty well outside of the U.S. as soccer/football is the no.1 sport in the world, and LEGO just reached a new customer base, sports fans. I would definitely buy more stadiums or sports related products if they continue putting efforts into this market segment. If you are a soccer fan, don't miss it!

Amazing set, with room for some improvements

As a lifelong sports fan, including Manchester United, I was ecstatic when this set came out. The build was relatively straight forward and interesting to see some of the building techniques employed by Lego to build this iconic stadium. I am hoping that this leads to other iconic stadiums from Lego. As far as the price, it is indeed on the higher end, but it is a great price per piece.
Some minor negatives to the set. There are a large amount of stickers and I wish these were printed pieces instead, but I know that would lead to an even higher price. My biggest issue is that the set is fragile as designed, as it is designed to come apart. I would prefer to keep it in one piece, so I made some minor adjustments to keep the pieces together with spare Lego parts I had.
Even with those small issues, this is still an amazing set and well worth the price.

A Completely Gratifying Building Experience

I loved this set. Essentially, the project is divided into four quadrants (the pitch itself takes about 5 minutes to put together). The two main sections of the project (if you're imagining a clock, think 10 - 2 and 4 - 8) are complex and not at all dull even considering a certain degree of repetitiveness.
I love that the four sections can separate, was well as the lower roof.
Two reservations:
The higher roof (the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand) droops just a bit through the sheer weight of the roof - I would've liked a way to truly treat it as a suspension roof.
The pitch itself would've been fun to build square by square; it's basically 5 large pieces surrounded by green tiles.
But these are very small reservations. This shares what I like best about the best LEGO projects - they suddenly take full shape all of a sudden, and the end result is extremely satisfying.
I'd grab this as soon as you can and enjoy!
