I am impressed by the attention to detail in this whimsical set. It is fun to play with - so many possible scenarios to imagine! There was a slight problem with some of the window pane pieces being scratched and having stress lines. (I realize it is difficult to avoid, but these were a bit excessive.) However, the Bricks and Pieces service was tremendously helpful in replacing those. I am impressed by the integrity of the company and its superb customer service!

Really fun!

So I just finished this set up after a rather disappointing Bookshop build. This was a breath of fresh air, exciting build, with a pretty nice final result.
I've read through some of the more critical reviews, and while I can see where some of their concerns stem from, they are minimal and really don't take anything away if you really consider it.
For example: one of the biggest concerns was with the staircase being "too simplistic" and not having much around it which results in some folks writing it off as unrealistic. That could easily be fixed with building a wall or banister on the edges, possibly sacrificing or moving the couches-easy-peasy. Past that any realistic concerns are kind of outside the realm of possibility considering the overall building construction, size, and brick count at the end of the day.
This brings me to my final point: whoever was on this build team should be kept in charge of all future modular builds. They managed to evenly mix the playability and aesthetic aspects perfectly with the added bonuses of the vehicle lift and working garage door that were both cleverly hidden and quite fun to operate to be completely honest. Add on the fact that they managed this with a smaller corner building to allow the drive through gas area and it stands out as a really impressive set overall.
I would definitely recommend this and here's hoping that the incoming Police Station can compare favorably.

I am currently building this set and so far I love it! I love the little 2x2 tile that has heart lake city on it! I Would recommend this to anyone who wants a challenge and a nice outcome

Great starting to your cityscape

Loved this build kept me busy for a few days 3 hours a day , a nice calming build with just enough break in repetition to make it interesting , looking forward to adding to our family city , over Christmas we ran mini lcd lights around the building to make it festive .

Great Addition to Collection

What an amazing set and a welcomed addition to my custom town street I am working on. The modular set up allows me and my children to work on individual sections and then combine them for the finished product... Another family build!! While I continue to collect these sets and build my town street my one wish is that Lego make a Lego Creator Expert "Lego Store" set that I can add to my town. I can't speak for others, but my family thinks that would be SUPER COOL!!!

I really loved this set! This set was my first modular building and i got it for my birthday. There are some nice details, like the car lift and the bathroom in the apartment. One of my favorite parts was the minifigure's more detailed faces and dual expressions, it added a lot more playability to the set overall! I plan to get more advanced sets in the future, and i think lego did a great job, despite what other customers say.
