Nice with options.

Okay, so the look of this building is better than the last few. The price is fair given the appearance of the building and the creative theme. But, Lego, you’ve got me again. It took me a dozen Grand Emporium sets to get a really ‘grand’ emporium. What makes no sense in this set is why there would be businesses above a gas station who’s main characteristics include flammable liquids, carbon monoxide and noise. So, I’m going to separate the first floor from the upper floors and create a larger service/gas station with more pumps and bays. Then, I’ll create another building with a first floor that looks like the upper two floors and include businesses on the new first level. The color and bricks also make this a candidate for being ‘redeveloped’ into a brownstone type of residential building. Thanks for a great template! I can see buying a bunch of these!

My Take on the Corner Garage

I really wanted to give this a 5-Star Rating, but I just couldn't do it. The overall appearance is very detail with the exception of the garage. I think adding a car or another vehicle that you could put on the car hoist or tow truck would had been a nice touch. The floor of the garage should had been smooth or titled instead of studded. The layout of the veterinarian office and the apartment is a little odd, but in the LEGO Designers defense they didn't have much to work with. I personally would had a tool store or an auto supply store on the second floor and the veterinarian office on the third floor. I might kept the apartment as is and have it the owner's house. Even though I gave it four stars I would still recommend it to others as it was a fun build.

An excellent build. I am about half complete and find the build a lot of fun. I like the colors selected and the interesting walls as they are complete. I really like the car lift and the tire changer. I am retired and building this set allows me some pleasant times building.

I have built all the modular lego as well as a lot of the bigger sets. This is by far the worst I have built. It lacks in all departments. Very little detail. Very disappointing for the money. Unless you want to collect all the modular sets. I'd give this one a miss.

You can tell that Jamie wasn't involved in the design-process this time. Gone are the days of beautiful facades, good ideas and detailed furnishings. The corner garage looks like a Lego City building for children - clearly missing the main target group. One can only hope that the series will be able to build on its old strengths someday.

A great addition to my city moc

First of all, I think all buildings fro mthe Creator Expert series are amazing to the fullest. And this new set goes the same way. I have to say, I was doubful at the beginning, before the purchase of it. Then, I "studied" the set, which means that I looked at the pictures fro mthe Lego site, but also at some youtubers chanels on this set. It was that way that I convinced myself about the beauty and the necessity of this set. And I have absolutly no regret about it. A pure enjoyment ! :)

Different can be good

The expert modular series is obviously top notch every time. The Corner Garage is no exception, but it being a little different can catch you by surprise. I prefer exterior over interior, and this does not dissapoint. I do agree another vehicle could have been added for the tow truck. The lift for a car, and the way you open the garage door was excellent. The vet office is detailed, and very nice. The top floor apartment leaves some to be desired. However, the gas pump area fits perfect in a corner lot. Only problem with the modulars is they come out once a year. I mean the release 1000 Star Wars sets, we could do with 2 a year!!! Buy this, you will love it!
