I love this set it was just what i had hoped and it is huge. There are many pros but, some of the cons are the price, and the wheel to get the cars out of the "stop" it is really jagged and not smooth. As a 12/13 year old kid (I bought it on my birthday) I would say this set is awesome! I was super surprised when the car went around the whole track by itself!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Finally I have been waiting For a roller coaster

I had a lot of fun putting this together because I have been waiting for years for Lego set that was a big roller coaster. Now I’ve been making big set for about the last four years so I found this very easy to put together. I’m hoping and years to come they will continue to make really big sets but I’m hoping they start making them very complicated.

Yet another great set from LEGO@ Well thought out instructions and bagging of the components. If your looking for creating a theme park with you LEGO@ then this is the set for the roller coaster element. Adding the power functions is just the best, tho hand powered it's still good fun.

One of the best sets lego have released to date goes great with the Ferris wheel and carousel.Hope lego can release more detailed rides like these ie.waltzer,dodges,shelter shelter I think they would be big sellers.

Fantastic set

As a massive fan of the 12v train series back in the day (ah... the 1980s...), I was always trying to work out a way of setting the tracks up to have dips like a typical roller coaster. Thank you Lego, for finally designing a low-friction rail system and showcasing its functionality in this marvelous set.
I have already purchased additional track and parts to attempt some more adventurous layouts, hoping to further automate it using an EV3 and sensors.
Please Lego, do not stop there. Continue the theme park genre with working replicas of famous rides.

My eldest son has all of the creator expert sets but this is by far his favourite. The detail is fantastic and the way in which the mechanisms fit together is ingenious. My middle 2 kids also love playing with the cars and have had lots of other mini figures allocated a turn flying around the track. My daughter wasn’t really a Lego fan until she started playing with this set. The power functions are also a must.

I liked how the build was organized. The bags were individually numbered and the pages of the instructions told you what to use. It took some time with the intricate small pieces and a lot going on but it was great!
