So much fun...I'm a child

So I have been mixing it up with my LEGO selection, I finally got to the roller coaster, Mind blown. When I got done with it and it worked I was so happy. I do have to say the chain is the most intimidating part, just do it in small sections. I could do it again, but I like playing with it too much. My wife and I also started a new game of hide the frog. If you have one you know what I mean. So we always move the frog and you can't play with the coaster till you find it. :)

I Felt Letdown

Let me explain. I felt let down because there cannot possibly ever be a set better than this! It was an exciting build and so fun to play with! Instructions were perfect. Functionality was perfect. My only concerns was I wish there were more Lego characters and I won't be able to find a better build.

Merry Christmas

I got this as a gift from my mom for Christmas. I had been jokingly asking for it for the past year and she shocked me. I was stoked! It took me about 23 hours to finish, nothing too hard or too easy. It was a lot of fun 10/10 would recommend.
They did forget my stickers though.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that your stickers are missing. I'd definitely recommend double-checking that the sticker sheet hasn't gotten caught in the box flaps or slipped in between building instructions pages.

Great build, a few challenges

I loved building this, and I love what I have now. I even got the motor and bluetooth remote and it sits on my credenza behind me in my office so my clients and coworkers can see it. It works perfectly - dozens of runs without any derailment.
That said, it must be noted that getting to this condition was far from easy. The tracks must be just about perfectly aligned for the cars to be drawn up by the chain without derailing. This was incredibly frustrating as there are a few locations on the uphill track where the junctions between track segments are not supported by any structure below. At these junctions is where the cars can cause the track to come apart a few mm, just enough for the cars to derail. Worse, repairing the misalignment may cause an adjacent section to go misaligned and you end up with a whack-a-mole situation.
All I can say is hang in there - the right amount of pressure applied to these junctions will set the track right. My experience is to be patient with it and it will run without any further adjustment. You just need to be aware of these tendencies in the track.

Thrill of the Build

In my opinion, I have to say that the joy of building the Roller Coaster set is watching the theme park attraction slowly take shape. While this set does require some repetitive building, the only tedious task is threading the technic rods through the white cylindrical studs, taking the end pieces off to adjust the rods in order to make sure the pillar looks like what is seen in the instructions.
Apart from building the tedious support column, there have been times where applying too much weight; either attaching the track to the beams will cause the entirestrtucture to break off, but other than that, the foundation and structure is sound as once completed, there's no rattle as the train makes a complete loop.
The only tedious part of the entire build would have to be the chain lift as while the instructions required 203 pieces, I had to add more, my eventually take some off in order to get a snug fit that wouldn't cause the lift mechanism to jam up and at the same time, catch the two three car trains.
Over all, this set was fun to build, with plenty of scenic details, separately applied stickers, mini-figures and two trains, and while there have been some ups and downs, especially operating the lift manually, had the set included the power futons packs which would cause the price to change, I would've paid more, especially with the power fucntion packs are becoming withdrawn and have to be bought separately.

Fantastic set for Enthusiasts and Lego fans alike

This set checks every box; size, build, playability, figures, and value. The size of it is phenomenal, the build was difficult but payed off, and do I even need to bring up the playability? Everything about this set is nearly, if not, perfect. My only complaint is about the excessive amount of 2x2 circle bricks (over 500!). I also had a missing 2x8 white brick, but since it's such a common piece I found a replacement in no time. Other than that, this set is phenomenal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Movable piece ussues

The chain continues to break upon continued use and is difficult to fix. Only 4 rubber bands given so if 1 breaks unable to replace and mechanism is stymied. The building of the structure is fine but the use fails.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
