Very Satisfied

Had my eye on this for a while now and finally gave in. Been a fan of Star Wars and LEGO for as long as I can remember and this set was the final part of my collection. Throughout the building process and even still after completing it, my mind is blown at the size of this beast. Fantastic instruction manual and presentation. Overall a very sturdy set other than the bottom-front panels which doesn’t bother me because after running some RGB through the interior I don’t plan on moving it from its display.
A very fun and somewhat challenging experience throughout. Hats off to the LEGO team.

UCS Devastator
on May 25, 2021

Personally, I love the Devastator build more than the UCS Falcon. The long wide slopes look so good when light reflects off them. The technic pieces make a cool structure. There were two missing pieces in my set, but Lego replaced them quickly and free of charge. Their standards are still good. I have confidence to purchase another large Lego set despite this error.
The minifigs are great despite what many "Lego influencers" say about them. Also, there's a great feature about Lego: you can customize it. This ship may not have an detailed interior, but if you want it there are large cavities in the ship to make rooms.

Wow.....Just Wow

I was debating whether or not to get this for a really long time. I watched speed builds and it seemed like a boring build. I was very wrong. It was very cool to see how the designers created this piece. It looks amazing as a display piece and I highly recommend it!

Looks great, but flawed stand
on April 17, 2021

The set itself was a fun build and really does look great on display. Pieces came together nice. My one complaint, and unfortunately it is a big complaint, is that the stand is very weak. Even putting the set together, the whole set rocks. You essentially build it on the stand, so you will quickly notice this issue. Even on display, if you just bump it, it feels like the stand will break. I am actually very surprised how and why this was overlooked. It seems like an obvious flaw in the design that could have easily been fixed. I am not sure what they were thinking. Again, the set does look great, but it is really hard to get over the weak and flawed stand design (which holds up the entire set!).

I love this set …

Yes it is expensive and big, but this set really defines the Star Wars universe with me. This is by far the best display set Lego makes and looks great with the other imperial Helmet sets.

Awesome Build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this set from a family friend who bought it for himself and found out that he couldn't finish it himself, so I got it. This set is a challenge and with its cost I would recommend that if you buy it only buy it if you are sure that the person who gets it can build it. This set is also a display set so you cant play with it ,but it is a great display set (if you have the room) overall I would say this is one of my favorite sets that I have built.

The big grey one
on October 13, 2021

A big beautiful grey thing. As with the other collectibles, this massive set comes with a wealth of packaging and a fantastic build manual with loads of back story. The build itself is straightforward, less intricate than the Millennium Falcon, although the finished article is just as impressive. The hidden handle within the model giving you the ability to carry it is a master stroke of design.

UCS Star Destroyer
on November 30, 2021

This is my first UCS build, so I don’t have any good comparison. The instructions are easy to read and the color coding of the pieces makes it easy to assemble the different parts. The history of the Star Destroyer included in the manual was nice as well.
Parts if it were easy to assemble, others not so much. The biggest challenge is the panels that line the top and bottom of the ship. They can get rather large and tend separate easy, especially when trying to attach them to the frame. I’ll get something snapped into place for another panel to separate. Aside from this it has been a fun build.
It’s big - the printed dimensions don’t do it justice. Now I just need to find somewhere to put it so I can build the Millinieum Falcon and the AT-AT.
