I waited about two months for this to come which is understandable. Let's start by saying this thing was really fun putting together, it took one full day of none stop building because I wanted it done by a certain day. It was easy to follow along with the directions, bags were plentiful! After it was build I had to move it to my kids (5 year old, ended up getting a dresser to put this on instead of the box) room, thats were the problems came in. I went to 'carry' it as the directions stated and that went horribly wrong. The bottom wing fell off which is a pretty big piece and it took 30 minutes to reattach everything that fell off due to the construction and angles I had to get to without taking it all apart. So i then had to carry it by dissembling to top as instructed in the directions. This work much better and the only problem I had was simply moving a massive object through the house (not LEGO's fault there). Overall this was a joy to put together and is well worth the money if you are a fan. Now i'm waiting two months for the UCS Millennium Falcon, I'm told this is sturdier by LEGO! I rated it a play experience of 3 simply because you don't play with this, you look at it.

Amazing set

I received this for my early 45th birthday present and what an amazing present it is. I built the set over the course of several weeks and did not experience any of the problems that a few reviewers had. Anyone that says they built it In less than 30 hours are not correct. I have had no problems with things not fitting, falling off or needing changed. The set was perfect, a very fun and interesting build and you can tell the LEGO staff put a lot of thought and engineering into this set. I would buy another one if I had room, this thing is huge! Amazing build and very visually pleasing.

Decided to finally pick this set up after a good amount of consideration, I greatly enjoyed building it and Im satified with how detailed and large it came out, However It did come Bag Number 8 torn open in the box, and i was missing a few parts here and there, None of which were caught in the bags. Overall I was able to complete the set with spare parts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No Regrets

I was definitely on the fence about this one having waiting many years for another chance at a UCS Star Destroyer. When it was first announced, the price and piece count were disconcerting. However, I decided to go ahead and purchase the set and I 100% have no regrets after putting it together. The ship is amazing. It looks absolutely incredible and the sheer size is almost hard to comprehend. As someone who owns many UCS sets, including the 2017 Millennium Falcon, I have no doubt this is one of the best ships ever made.

This set is massive and is a wonderful recreation of the iconic Star Destroyer. I’m just so amazed at how well the Lego designer was able to recreate all the fine details from the actual filming model. The best quality I love in this set is how strong it is for its immense size. I would definitely recommend this set for any Star Wars fan.

First off I know a lot of people on these reviews tend to refer to the price per kilo of these models and to put it straight forward to me it is not about that it is simply about the experience in the joy someone has building Legos and for this you get an awesome experience yes it is quite challenging as it has almost 5,000 pieces I would not recommend this to a beginning builder but for someone who has dealt with logo before then absolutely I have enjoyed every moment of this although it took me about three days to do it LOL it was 100% worth it the sheer girth of this model is insane so if you do purchase it I would advise making sure where you're going to put it before you build it and also it weighs in at around 34 lbs so it does have a bit of weight to it overall it is the perfect display piece for any avid Star wars fan yes people can say it's a little pricey but to me it was well worth it and I promise you, you won't be disappointed!!! Happy building!!!

Great display piece

I enjoyed building this and it looks amazing. But properly connecting the panels is quite difficult and it’s very hard to achieve the right angles when the large stud plates do not properly fit, I accidentally broke a piece while attempting to connect one of the panels to the build. This set is also overpriced for what you’re getting. This set is highly breakable and should not be played with.
