Plates Fall Off
on August 3, 2021

I have been buying and building LEGO for 9 years and this set is the worst set I've ever got, The plates split and when you push them flat the ball joints that hold the plates on fall of. Every time I move it it breaks

Too Frustrating
on December 26, 2019

The set started out very fun, and awesome. Now, after being stuck at trying to get the four large hull pieces on top for months, I give up. You can't get the ball bearing type piece to snap down into the holding piece without the larger hull piece just falling apart. And before customer service asks me to review my build, I have rebuilt the hull pieces (cause they fall apart anyway) probably five times but still have the same issue. This set is horrible.

Poor build experience
on November 10, 2019

I've been building UCS sets for about 15 years, and this is probably one of the most frustrating build experiences I've had. Particularly, bag set 11 gave me the greatest difficulty. I don't know if there was a problem with the manufacturing quality of some of the pieces, but when trying to mount the completed panel on the frame, the panel would constantly break apart. I absolutely avoid going full Kragle on these kits, but I don't know any other way to keep this set together. For as much as this kit costs, I expected better brick cohesion

That doesn't sound right! We definitely wouldn't recommend glue, though. The first thing to try is rebuilding. If your set comes apart, that could be a sign that a piece is out of place, or that some parts aren't pressed together as tightly as they should be. Taking it apart and putting it together again should do the trick, or you can always get in touch at LEGO.build/Service for a hand troubleshooting the build.

Fun build but horrible quality control
on May 18, 2022
Posted by: Netminder69
I'm only part way in my build. I have been building it along with my 10 year old son. So far it's been... frustrating. The building isn't hard, as long as you have all the pieces. We're part way through bag set 7 and I just had to put in my THIRD missing parts request. So now it will sit, taking up table space for yet another week or two while I wait for the piece to be sent and hope that once I get it I don't find yet another missing piece. And in some previous bags I have had extras of other pieces. This isn't a cheap kit. Seriously, Lego. If you're going to continue charging premium prices for these kits, you need to get your quality control on the same premium level. Looking through some of these other lower star reviews, this a more common problem than your statements of "missing pieces are rare" would indicate. So buyer beware. The kit has been really fun to build so far, but that fun comes grinding to a halt when there's yet another missing piece.

We're very sorry for the frustrating experience. If those missing pieces aren't stuck in the box or hidden under a table, request free replacements at LEGO.build/BricksPieces-BV. If you continue on with your build and find other pieces are missing, give us a shout at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can work towards the best solution for you and your son to get back to building.

Wow...

I love building Legos, they're fun to build and there are so many options, but I am a particular fan of the Lego Star Wars sets. This set however, was one of the worst I've ever built, it doesn't stay together (I'm not a fan of gluing it together), and trying to piece it together again just makes other pieces fall apart. It's also on a stand that can barley hold it up, if you set something on the table the whole things wiggles. There were also a few pieces missing. I don't expect it to be over the top, but for $700, it was a waste of my time.

Hi there, thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with this set, we take the quality of our toys very seriously. If your set ever seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. You’ll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together. As for missing pieces, though rare, it happens. We'd like to make this right for you. Please visit LEGO.build/BricksPieces-BV to request the parts you're missing for free. We hope this information helps!

lousy design

have built many lego kits lately.I agree with the people who say the stand is sub standard and will sway like crazy.even the ac fan will tip it over. it cannot handle the weight of the model. Also agree that the large bricks wont stay where they are put unless superglued.very annoying. and god forbid if you try to move it just make sure you put a giant blanket on the floor to catch the flying bricks.now make sure you tell me to "check my build"

Best Star Destroyer Set Ever!
on April 14, 2020

I knew I had to have this set as soon as I heard about it. This was the first time I've ever shelled out that kind of money for a Lego set but it was definitely worth it. I had a good time building it despite it being fairly repetitive. I spent about 20 hours building over the course of a long weekend and now it has its own corner in my room; out of direct sunlight of course. Would absolutely recommend to any fan of Star Wars and especially Lego fans.
